She'll get a small settlement to go away and her attorney will get a third of that. The janitor that hurt his back at work will get more than her.

Maybe so, but the Kaplan folk I know will not easily back away from a fight. This is something people feel strongly about, and it extends WAY past this raise.
Only way I see her getting paid off to be quiet is if it can bring down her side of the school board in the crossfire. If the lawyers think this can be used to further help the cause they have been fighting for, then she will be the poster child and push this to to limit.

Wow, the ACLU is all over this now too. The video has been viewed over 500,000 times already. The stupid superintendent actually said he supports the “officer’s decision” to remove her from the meeting.

fair enough. Hopefully she gets her money and moves somewhere better. I love LA, but my God, shite like this makes me happy to not be a resident. I do still pay LA taxes though...

Thats what I said would happen.
What's hilarious to see is all these public offices, who usually work hand in hand (VPSB, City Police, Marshalls Office, and the City itself) are now backing their arse out of here as quickly as possible.
City Police- issued statement that it was not them who made the arrest, and they just followed procedure of doing the booking at their department.
The City- attorney made it very clear in that audio that this has nothing to do with the city.
VPSB- said they didn't want charges, and the officer acted on his own. The comment on supporting the removal isn't a good look at this point though.
Marshalls- no comment as of yet. That one should be interesting. But they certainly aren't used to being in the spot light.
The city and the city police are correct that they don't have a damn thing to do with it. Probably smart of them to distance themselves from it quickly. They probably know what a shite storm this can potentially become.

This is what I'm screaming. You can't see the board members in the video so who knows if one of them didn't signal the officer to do what he did. Wouldn't surprise me.
