my phone shite the bed this week as the touchscreen decided to no longer respond. its cheaper to switch from Verizon to AT&T and get two new phones then my current plan. I was once with Sprint and that was a disaster so is the drop from Verizon to AT&T gonna be noticeable?

Would you switch?

Verizon Current Plan: $158.55 for 20GBs of data with 2 phones one paid for but I will need to upgrade and add another phone so lets say $190 a month then in 6 months drop back down to $160 when wife phone paid off

AT&T New Plan: Unlimited for $160 for 30 months. 2 new iPhone 11s and they throw $300 in visa gift cards my way

VZW >>> ATT

With that being said, I have ATT because it’s way cheaper when bundling cell, tv, and internet.

I’m paying $180 for 2 unlimited cell plans, DirecTV, and GB fiber. Hard to beat that.

Verizon gives you peace of mind. It worked around here for both floods when AT&T was not reliable. It holds up in Tiger Stadium better than my friends AT&T plans

ETA
You could buy more LINK with the money you save on AT&T tho

Been researching new phones and plans this week, that's not bad if it includes taxes which most don't or for some reason can't quote. I'm with Verizon no complaints about service quality but they are expensive and I'll switch soon.

My planning is headed to buying two Phone 11's and trying Verizon's MVNO service called Total Wireless. I don't have ATT cell service experience but it seems hit or miss with friends that use them.

It is truly difficult to figure out the best deal with all the gotchas attached.

T-Mobile. 4 lines. Unlimited. Subsidize 3 iPhones. $227 a month.

NEVER switch from anything else to AT&T. I don't care if your service is a donkey with a cell tower strapped to its back. Don't do it.

Verizon >>> ATT

All day, every day.

Any amount of bait that ATT throws out to tempt folks to lock-in new victims will seem like thirty pieces of silver later once you have to deal with ATT’s shitty cuss-tomer service and substandard range.

Honestly, neither are great. Neither are atrocious. At least compared to each other.
I'd just get whatever deal you find better.
But, be aware that, at least around here, there are places (rural and or inside of buildings) that reception is better with ATT or better with Verizon. So, to me, this information is far more important.

My job switched from ATT to verizon about 2 years ago.
I got better cell coverage with ATT. Prices for the phones about the same. We get to pick the phone we want.

Fun Fact: of the 100,000 ppl in TS, 70k were ATT subscribers explaining why VZW has better service during games. Both have the same DAS technology in the stadium. One service simply has more customers using it.

I was with att for about 15 years and switched over a rule that I can’t even remember, I’ve been with Verizon for about 10 years.
Both carriers have pros and cons. I think it boils down to price and coverage or unlimited plans you are offered. Or even what type of phone is provided by that carrier.
FWIW I travel all over the state and I’ve found that coverage is about the same.
Good luck

A lot of people say Verizon coverage is better but mine has been worse since switching from ATT. Have to have a booster in my house for it to work. Never needed that with AT&T.

Verizon is superior to ATT in service and customer service.
