We have three phones: Samsung(mine) Iphone(wife) and Google(son) and for the past two months all three phones have been disconnecting from wifi and giving an authentication error. Has anyone else had this problem? Were you able to fix it? If so, How?

I have an iPhone with Verizon. Every now and then my wifi just doesn’t work so I have to disconnect

Is it with any WiFi network or just one in particular?

was thinking it was my router at home causing the WiFi issues. every now and then i cant connect, have to switch to "airplane mode" wait a few seconds and then back to normal, and it works again.
had AT&T through work, but they switched to Verizon at the 1st of the year. Wife's AT&T is not having issues.

Samsung and Verizon for me and no problems at all.

I have had this happen on my samsung s7 edge but I only notice it at home. I have been blaming the ATT fiber router as the router I have in my office doesnt disconnect.

In November my two year agreement ended. I have a Samsung Galaxy 6 and the wife has an iPhone 6.

1) Are you on the latest phone software?
2) Have you done a hard reset on your phone?
3) I would ask about the router at home but since this is happening everywhere it lies on the phone.
4) Do you disconnect a lot from standard WCDMA/LTE phone calls or data sessions?

Anyways, this is interesting because I would consider it to be an attach issue within the phone with a base station near your home but since this is standard WiFi it follows IEEE 802.11 protocol and not 3GPP standards that probably is not the issue.
It is more than likely a certificate issue with the authentication error. Have you "forgotten" each network to renew certificates for each?

I haven't seen that, but my messages have been appearing out of order for weeks now and its annoying as hell

Samsung S6, S7, LG G4 and iPhone 6.... no issues

I sometimes get a network error that my wifi on my LG G4 phone is not connected but then if I go into wifi settings it is in fact connected. The issue seems to be confined to the 5G network. No other words it seems to be a false positive error. I have a Netgear router and it broadcasts a 5G network and a non-5G network. The non-5G broadcast seems to have a wider broadcast radius than the 5G network but I can get the error even when I am very close to the router.

I am assuming you mean 5Ghz Channel?

Turn off wifi-assist. Let us know the results.
This stops the phone from failing over to cell data when the phone detects wifi signal is poor

Haven't done a hard reset I think I'll try that

I think that would be the smart switch on my phone and I turned that off. I also clear out my cache everyday but that doesn't seem to help. The only solution I'm getting is turning WiFi off and back on but it doesn't always stay connected
