BS, this whole interaction was caused by the shooter. There’s not a damn one of you that wouldn’t react the same damn way if you walked out of the store and a man was yelling at your gf/wife with your kids in the car.

There’s also nothing racist about the verdict, what the frick how feeble are your minds to even draw that conclusion?

This guy gets it. He’s not a cop, he went looking for trouble. Had he just let it be and realized their were jackasses in the world who park in handicap parking and it’s no use starting stuff with them he’d be free and the other guy alive. I see people not handicapped park in handicap spaces all the time. I just say well maybe their mentally handicapped and keep on walking. I’ve got more important things in life than to be a hero cop.

Both parties seemed like pretty terrible people, but I don’t think this was really self defense since the shooter instigated the confrontation.

Both men deserved an arse kicking, but pulling a gun on someone who pushed you because you were yelling at their woman is over the top.

This is absolute bull shite. Drejka was defending himself against a deranged TPOS that was looking to inflict great bodily injury against him.

People who take it upon themselves to enforce handicap parking should just be shot for that offense alone.

Once he put up his hands and or started backing up then it’s not self defense unless he had a weapon in his hands.

If he had continued towards the man in the ground or insinuated further violence then I could see self defense.

If you pull a gun or feel the need to pull a gun (even in the heat of the moment) you still need to be aware of what the other person is doing.

What's so interesting about this is the whole "he was backing up" thing.

Ex.
Dindu hits you in the head with a bat, then starts backing up once he sees your gun.

Everyone who sees a gun goes on immediate defense.

Bat= assault with a deadly weapon

Pushed down = no deadly weapon

That’s where I draw my conclusion. If the guy had a bat, knife, gun, or other weapon and pushed me down then started backing up I’d have held him at gunpoint and called cops. If he started towards me again with the weapon then I believe I’d say self defense because if his previous actions

Did you see the video he was backing up when he got shot. Its a tough case but not bullshite.

My thought is you cant escalate the situation then backup two steps and call that a retreat. Had he turned around and ran that would be a different story.

Ok. Remove the bat. A much larger and visibly stronger male hits someone or shove someone very hard, sees the gun and immediately goes on defense. Normal reaction. If no gun, what potentially happens? I'm very glad not to have been on this jury. Man protects his interests, even though man is abusing parking. Parking issue is moot but can indicate selfish mentality.

This is kind of like suicide by cop in that I feel Drejka was in-part hoping to someday goad someone into a physical confrontation. You don't strap yourself then go out and throw a fricking fit about a handicap parking spot (instead of calling the police about it) if there isn't some small part of you expecting the chance to use your firearm.

What should have happened was that Drejka should have taken a photo of the car in the spot, with the license plate visible, then called the cops.

McGlockton shouldn't have brought the confrontation to the physical level but then again he was defending another.

I agree with the ruling.

Even though he pulled the gun, he didnt have to fire it at that point. That would have neutralized any danger he felt he was in. He could have stood up at that point and it didn't seem that the victim would have went at him any further. It looks like he fired because he was pissed he got pushed down like a bitch after yelling at a woman and 2 kids in a car.

Yeh I get that, but if no gun comes out, dude either continues to pummel or the other guy runs off, or nothing happens. I got it. But you pull a gun out on someone, the obvious reaction is to go on defense.

Well maybe motherfrickers will stop parking in the HC spots now. It’s beyond frustrating to see so many able bodied trashy pieces of shite too lazy to walk from a regular spot. Inconsiderate bastards deserve to be shot.

Before 9 am on a Saturday morning and ranting that people need to die because they’re fat and and lazy...

I look at it as let them live their sloth lives, it only makes me look better in comparison.
