I still believe it’s clear gun stopped Drejka from having more harm done to him on the ground by the approaching McGlockton

It can be argued that having the gun got him on the ground in the first place by giving him false courage to start shite.

Glad he got found guilty, if you're that scared that you have to pull a gun for getting pushed you;re a bitch anyway.

Why did the shooter decide it’s his job to enforce anything? He could have called the police who would if told him to let it go. Everyone would still have a life

Because he carried a gun and it made him feel tough.

So it's ok for the moron to run out the store and attack?

You wouldn't if some a-hole was harassing and threatening your wife or girlfriend?

Argued about as well as saying if other guy’s privilege had not allowed for him to be above the law and park in handicap spot and then think it’s ok to shove guy to ground and continue after him he might still be alive. You don’t think he had some false courage coming out of store knocking Drejka down quickly before Drejka could even access new situation. Most confrontations seem to first start to get physical by one taking advantage of the other thinking it’s not at a physical nature yet.

It’s also not like Drejka knew guy was going to come out of store. He was probably being a jerk and the girlfriend probably was as well, but It’s not like people can’t argue without the need for violent assault by someone not initially involved.

But if you are carrying a weapon, and personally enforcing parking lot rules, you need to be more aware of your surroundings, approaching dangers, and appropriate responses.

100% this. If you are carrying you shouldn't be needlessly entering in to confrontation.

IDK what I think of Drejka's actions after being pushed but I do think that if Drejka was a reasonable person he would have avoided the situation entirely.

99% of the 'baws' posting on TD would have done the same if their family/someone they knew were being verbally harassed by some stranger.

I would have gotten her in to the car and driven away.

Watched the video. First of all, wtf was he doing enforcing parking lot rules? Second, the guy was clearly retreating. I would have voted to convict.

Not your asking for trouble, there are better ways to go about it. My uncle was in a wheel chair and when people parked and he couldn’t he’d call the police. Amazingly he never got in a fight nor shot someone.

The police in many places wouldn’t bother to come out for that.

Are you confused as to why it’s not okay to shoot and kill a man who isn’t threatening your life?

If your only defenition of defending yourself is shooting someone else, then I would say no you can't defend yourself in your scenario

Well you sound like an expert, so what level of violence CAN I defend myself from? And this will be universal across the board, correct?
