A carry license does not make you a cop. If you wouldn't say something while unarmed, you should be wary of feeling comfortable saying it while you are armed.
I think that's exactly what happened here.

If Drejka hadn't decided to arm himself and become a parking lot vigilante (threatening to shoot people for parking violations no less) he wouldn't be headed to prison.

I hope your outlook is not actually a common one. Because if you think that the "victim's" assault on the shooter was in any way an appropriate or justified then I pity your lack of self control.
In the unlikely even that I would ever park in a handicapped spot, if I did so and returned to my car to find someone challenging my illegal act, I would be embarrassed and have my hat in my hand and probably apologize and thank the guy for his efforts.
If he was truly "yelling/berating" the g/f in a very nasty way, that is one thing. But that has not been fully established. Either way, despite your/his "I'm a big strong man" attitude, that act is what escalated the situation that day.
The shooter was wrong here, but the "victim's" violent assault is a SIGNIFICANT reason as to why he is dead.

The threat was retreating. Had the threat advanced I would say justified. The video shows me he shot when the threat was no longer imminent.
