The 71-tonne Jagdtiger was the heaviest armored fighting vehicle (AFV) used operationally by any nation in WWII and the heaviest combat vehicle of any type to be produced during the conflict. it was armed with a 128 mm Pak 44 L/55 main gun which could out-range and defeat any AFV fielded by the Allied forces.

It saw brief service in small numbers from late 1944 until the end of the war on both the Western and Eastern Front. Although 150 were ordered, only around 80 were produced. Due to an excessive weight and an underpowered drivetrain system, the Jagdtiger was plagued with mobility and mechanical problems. Three Jagdtigers survive in museums.

Very impressive.

I wonder if anyone has ever come up with something along the lines of a Kill ratio for WW2 armor similar to how they look at fighter jets?

Thanks. I’ve seen some stats. For example, if I remember correctly the largest kill tally of any AFV in the war was StuG III.

Your weathering skills are impressive and your attention to detail is in the upper range of the OCD scale (in a good way - ha ha). Hell, you even put rust/dirt on the shovel.

Excellent job as usual!

I’d imagine it would be impacted significantly based on who the units were fighting.

For example tank destroyers who run into light or obsolete tanks would put up numbers like an elite football team playing an FCS team.

Outstanding brushwork on the ambush camo scheme. Yours skills are getting better with every build!

Good point. Plus oftentimes it wasn’t clear which vehicle killed which vehicle. And as was the case with fighters, there was a tendency to over count kills.

Is it awesome? Yes and even impressive work. But if you're not going to give me dioramas, I'll need some black background around the model to make it pop even more. I mean if I'm nitpicking.

Those are some sweet models.

The German fascination with bigger and heavier is always intriguing.

One wonders how things would have gone if they concentrated on fewer, less complicated and less expensive types...

Love your work!

They’d have done better to focus on production of the StuG III and Panther.
