The Maus was twice as heavy as the Jagdtiger but it was never operational.

I’ve seen one of the survivors at the Armor Museum when it was still at Ft. Knox.

They have another Nazi tank with a side cut away and uniformed mannequins in crew positions. That tank is about the height of a school bus, but maybe twice the width. It’s amazing anybody made a vehicle that big and heavy.

You’ve got the rust and field crud painting down pat. Very nice!

Do you only do NAZI replicas?

Seems like, and I'll readily admit I don't follow your work closely, every time you post something it's NAZI. I'm not judging you there, Adolf, just curious is all.

I second the weathering work. Normally, I prefer clean models. Weathering gets out of control very easily.

Not too little, not too much.

Yours is just right.

Cheers.

Thanks. Painting alone took two complete days.

Was that brush or airbrush? I have a Tiger with a complex camo that needs to be built. I primarily use airbrush, though.

BTW, you need to check out 1 Man Army's masking set in 1/35 for armor (but also has 1/32 A/C, too)...

German vehicles are my favorite subject to build due to the myriad of different camouflage patterns they used from 1943 until the end of the war. But I also build others…

Soviet

American

Italian

Japanese

Bush. I use to air brush but I enjoy the process of brush painting and setting up, maintaining, and cleaning an air brush is a pain in the arse.

Thanks. But I usually stick to 1/48 or 1/72 scale on aircraft. I’m not adding any more planes to my stash. I’ll build some, like the Italeri 1/72 scale C.R. 42 Falco I’ve started today. I may may sell others. I’m going to focus on WWII era vehicles.

Thanks. Yeah it was a beast. The heaviest operational armored vehicle of the war. But it was impractical. Most bridges would not even hold its weight so it’s utility in the field was severely limited.
