Armed officers with ballistic shields, who just had training on this very scenario just a couple of months before.

This was ALLOWED to happen

Makes you wonder about said training.

I think something very sinister happened with law enforcement here.

Which is why I’m calling for a specifically harsh penalty for these cops to persuade the cowards that death is better than the fate they’ll have if they don’t run into the classroom to save the kids.

Which includes this cop. He appears to only push to go in when wife called after being shot and bleeding out. He wasn’t charging before and his active shooter trainings were part of problem. Again he led trainings and only acted after getting call from his wife.

Below quote is what other outside officers faced coming in to help. Besides chain of command outside help doesn’t know layout, the people, and so on when they first arrive but could have been quickly brought up to speed. They weren’t.

District, District, District - failed killer before shooting, failed with door security and proper active shooter trainings, and through their police force failed these students, failed these teachers, and failed their families.

quote:

Two closed doors and a wall stood between them and an 18-year-old with an AR-15 who had opened fire on children and teachers inside the connected classrooms. A Halligan bar - an ax-like forcible-entry tool used by firefighters to get through locked doors - was available. Ballistic shields were arriving on the scene. So was plenty of firepower, including at least two rifles. Some officers were itching to move.

One such officer, a special agent at the Texas Department of Public Safety, had arrived around 20 minutes after the shooting started. He immediately asked: Are there still kids in the classrooms?

"If there is, then they just need to go in," the agent said.

Another officer answered, "It is unknown at this time."

The agent shot back, "Y'all don't know if there's kids in there?" He added, "If there's kids in there we need to go in there."

"Whoever is in charge will determine that," came the reply.

The inaction appeared too much for the special agent. He noted that there were still children in other classrooms within the school who needed to be evacuated.

"Well, there's kids over here," he said. "So I'm getting kids out."

Nothing about their actions makes any sense whatsoever.

That thin blue line. The kids were on the wrong side of it.

Cops werent there to prevent the shooter from killing kids. They were there to make sure no one stopped him.

How do I know? Because thats exactly what they did.

So... they wanted it to happen? Because this goes well beyond failure, actively preventing people from stopping it.

I mean, the people who shoved Jews into gas chambers were just "baw cops" in their time and culture. Organized political crime has existed as long as we've had governments.

And I really haven't been following this case. It's too sad, but just saying that nothing surprises me anymore.

Is it a conspiracy theory to think that every conspiracy theory is a conspiracy theory?

This is why militarization of the police is bad

That’s probably not best term. It implies military training instead of just getting military equipment without the same training.

Big program started with Clinton and Obama increased program before starting to try and limit certain weapons. Still increased it during last fiscal year.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2014/11/25/how-the-obama-administration-gives-away-military-grade-weapons-to-local-police/

From 2014 article
quote:

Several federal programs are helping local law enforcement to acquire heavy weapons, either by making funds available or by providing the equipment directly. One program at the Pentagon transferred surplus military equipment worth nearly half a billion dollars to local police last year. Grants provided by the Department of Homeland Security total another $1 billion, and Holder's department provides hundreds of millions more.

https://inthesetimes.com/features/obama_police_miltary_equipment_ban.html

From 2016 article
quote:

The 1033 program, which refers to a section of the 1997 National Defense Authorization Act that created it, is a popular way for cash-strapped local law enforcement agencies to get gear on the cheap. Police departments typically are responsible only for the costs of shipping and maintaining the equipment.

…So far in fiscal year 2016, (Oct. 1, 2015 - September 13), the DLA has transferred $494 million worth of gear to local police departments, In These Times learned from McCaskill.

That far exceeds the $418 million of equipment sent to police in FY 2015 (Oct. 1, 2014 - Sept. 30, 2015). According to an analysis published in May by the transparency organization Open the Books, 2015 was already a peak year for such shipments within the past decade, exceeded only by 2014's $787 million. Since 2006, more than $2.2 billion of hardware has found its way into the hands of police, according to the report.

This is getting bizarre. It's beginning to look like they wanted maximum casualties, there are too many accumulating "missteps."
