KSAT

quote:

UVALDE, Texas – Shocking testimony from the Texas DPS director on Tuesday has revealed even more insight into the “abject failure” of response to the Uvalde shooting that occurred on May 24.

Texas Department of Public Safety Director Col. Steven McCraw revealed that the husband of slain elementary teacher Eva Mireles tried to save her but was barred from doing so.

Ruben Ruiz is a police officer for the school district and was on the scene after the gunman entered the school and opened fire.

McCraw said Mireles called Ruiz and told him that “she had been shot and was dying.”

“And what happened to him, is he tried to move forward into the hallway,” McCraw said. “He was detained and they took his gun away from him and escorted him off the scene.”

McCraw didn’t say who specifically detained Ruiz.

I also made my worst post ever today and my apology to the officer, the only one who wanted to do something.

It really gets worse and worse each press release. At this point I’m expecting they released the monster from Stranger Things from the school.

Yeah. This is fricked up.

Why did the cops just sit back and let this happen?

Was Ruiz the husband of the slain teacher who died of a heart attack?

This gets so terrible.

I think the only way any of the ...let's call them second order perps...could live with themselves would be to leave their homes and loved ones and shut themselves up in a contemplative monastery, take vows of silence and try to come to peace with their Lord.

This makes zero sense. Why did the local cops just stand down and give up?

And it was some border patrol agent from 40 miles away that ultimately got the shooter?

I know it gets old for the young pups here, but had this been in the 80s/90s, any person w a gun would've been welcomed. Dads, Grandpa, anyone.

Not discounting him at all, but.....

If that had been me, "detained" and "escorted" would not be the words used in that statement. I'd probably be in jail, hospital, or 6 feet under ground.

Nothing about their actions makes any sense whatsoever.

shite like this gives massive ammo to the conspiracy theorists out there.

The more info that comes out, the more the folks who say this was let to happen on purpose sound saner. I'm not convinced anymore that they're wrong.
