New Orleans and the rest of Louisiana might as well be two different states. We are not seeing a resurgence. It’s just now finally getting up to the more rural areas and since we’re now testing like crazy the cases are perceived to be rising

It's hitting a different area if I'm not mistaken ... it's not resurging where it started is it?? Someone here said 2 NOLA hospitals have no covid patients.

I’m not a scientist, but that looks like a surgence, not a resurgence. Also, pretty good anecdotal evidence of herd immunity.

Lake Charles and Lafayette got hammered this time around but neither was really impacted by early "wave." The initial Covid spike was concentrated in the New Orleans area. Lafayette hasn't seen two spikes.

Henderson know anyone in the hospitals here? Just wondering how they really are.

No I don’t. I know a couple of nursing home nurses who say everything is pretty stressful and I know a doctor who is concerned about it but doesn’t work in a hospital. He’s mostly annoyed that people ask him if Covid is real and/or for hydroxychloroquine

I still don’t know anyone who has had it right here in the epicenter

A powerful resurgence of COVID-19 infections in Louisiana is hitting the state harder than its first wave in spring,
Based on what numbers?

Ouachita Parish Director of Homeland Security Neil Brown joins the growing list of parishes who are raising red flags about the way COVID-19 cases are being counted.
Earlier in the week, DeSoto Parish Sheriff Jayson Richardson and LaSalle Parish Sheriff/Head of Homeland Security Scott Franklin came forward with claims of inaccuracies due to over counting. Sheriff Franklin says the over counting sits at 40.6% in LaSalle Parish. He also mentioned two other parishes and the inaccuracies he claims they are dealing with due to over counting - Red River (40%) and Caldwell (47.73%).
