I agree with you there, I said we shouldn’t wage offensive wars as they always end in a clusterfrick. First Vietnam and now the Middle East

Anyone who has a problem with this deal can sign up and volunteer to go over there.

But if Obama would have made a deal with the Taliban Fox would be losing their shite.
And the other 200 progressive/socialist (I refuse to use liberal as true liberals do not believe in any of the bs the current sjw’s do and the word has been hi jacked by the left) propaganda networks would be screaming for sainthood for the obama.
Go look up any of the left leaning or supposedly independent and partisan sites (ie Harvard, Monmouth, Reuters, etc.) about the coverage of trump. Everyone shows a minimum of 97% negative coverage of him and the gop except fox which only shows 52-54% negative.
If you haven’t figured it out the left AND the right hate Trump because he’s in it for us and not for them. Republicans and democrats are the same basically with one side leaning further to the left and they protect each other.
If you dig deep enough into the facts you’ll see for the most part out politicians from both sides have been screwing us to fatten their pocketbooks as well as their family/friends. The whole reason they’re going after trump so hard is because he’s not one of them (though they loved his campaign donations before) and he’s a threat to the gravy train they’re accustomed to.
Only way out is to force term limits but that will never happen unfortunately. Drunk rant over

Sounds like good news to me. I know war is necessary sometimes but I don't think we should be the police for the whole frickin world either.
World frickin' police? These frickers aided and abetted the bombing of the towers and the Pentagon. That's not policing the world. That's eliminating the frickers that were responsible. frick them. Not a chance in hell I'm ever shaking hands and making peace with pieces of shite like that short of complete capitulation by them. I get it. An exit strategy is needed but screw this if true.

The Taliban wasn't behind 9/11 you moron

quote:what? The US should not wage true offensive wars because we don't need to. We aren't trying to take over any more territory. Wars like this don't work out for us because we, for the most part, follow the rules of engagement while the pathetic enemy use the innocent locals as shields.
The US should not wage offensive wars. They just don’t work out for us.

Taliban is a supposed to pledge to no longer protect terrorists in the country.
I feel like we could have gotten that concession without 2 decades of war.
This is like the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals.

No shite dumb arse. But they sure as shite made it easier for those that were behind it. Oh and refused to turn them over when given the chance all those years ago. frick them and frick anyone that wants to shake hands with them.
We need to get out of there mostly because leadership for years have been clueless but we don't need to shake no ones hand.

There's only one segment of society that thinks there are any true concessions in that agreement. The language is so meaningless, I really don't know why we didn't just pull out troops without sitting down at a table with them and eating crow.

I don’t think they will honor that though.
They won't.
The Taliban will renege on the peace deal and the thing is it doesn't matter as the United States has no strategic interest in Afghanistan. It's pointless quagmire that has no clear objective whatsoever. Afghanistan will look the same as it does 5 years from now.
It's a bottomless money pit that wastes American treasure and American blood and we need to get out of there.
Congrats to President Trump for being the first President since Gerald Ford to end old wars without starting any new ones.
