Taliban is a supposed to pledge to no longer protect terrorists in the country. I don’t think they will honor that though.

Sounds like good news to me. I know war is necessary sometimes but I don't think we should be the police for the whole frickin world either.

So we killed Osama (wasn’t in Afghanistan though) but at the end of the day, the “brave mujahideen fighters” (Rambo 3) are still there. Chalk this one up as either a draw or an L (due to huge waste of lives for minimal gain) for Uncle Sam.

The problem is if the US stagnates on the military stage, the Chinas, Russias, Irans, and Turkeys of the world take advantage.

We have to always be vigilant or our domestic peace could quickly be in jeopardy.

Amazing.

Trump was supposed to start WWIII and nuke everyone. Remember how people were worried about Trump having his finger on the button?

Instead, he ends a two-decade-old war.

I know he can’t just come out and say it, but I sure as hell hope he’s committed to not putting our young men back in that country or region for any reason other than them attacking our homeland.

I agree. The US should not wage offensive wars. They just don’t work out for us. But we can’t abandon the little guy altogether. Smaller countries rely on us to let them not get forcefully taken and oppressed by bullies such as the countries you mentioned. Such as the Kurds for instance. I don’t agree with Trump stabbing them in the back allowing Turkey to roll in and start exterminating.

Good, get the hell out.

But if Obama would have made a deal with the Taliban Fox would be losing their shite.
