Struggle? They literally lost to a team of Texas middle school boys, so they don’t stand a chance against a male high school team.

Before all that woke shite, I think the women's national team was more popular than the men's team some years.
The last 20 years have been different. MLS took off, and the men's national team has gotten more competitive and had a larger fan base.
IMO a big issue with soccer in the US is Title IX nonsense that basically forces a lot of colleges to 86 men's soccer. I'm hoping that men's soccer becomes too popular to ignore though, and they find somewhere else to cut men's scholarships or a new sport to add more women's scholarships.

Can someone explain to me how and why something like "commercial revenue share" should be split equally? Let's assume a scenario where the USWNT generates 10X more commercial revenue than the USMNT. In this scenario, the two teams will share that revenue equally?

In fairness, it was a Dallas area All Star team, so it was the best school aged soccer players in a huge metro.
But your point still stands. Women's soccer is slower pace, which actually makes it easier to watch on TV. But it's far less exciting.

this doesn't matter if they are generating revenue

I think LilPerm’s U16 should all identify as women. They are better than the women’s National team and could use the extra cash. Win/win for equality.

Recognizing the economic absurdity of the women's team's argument for equal pay doesn't equal being "upset". From the women's stand point, good for them. They negotiated a better deal with their "employer". But the premise of their argument was always flawed. Essentially their position was both teams play the same sport for the same country. Thus, they should be paid equally, completely ignoring the fact the men's sport generated far more revenue.
It would be akin to saying two salesmen should be paid equally simply because they both have the same job title and work for the same company. All while ignoring the fact that one salesman generates FAR more revenue for the company than the other

Have they??? 20 years ago we were on a 4 world cup qualifying streak, today we're at missed 2 in a row.

The entire conversation should boil down to “how much money do you bring in.” I don’t even really care that Christian Pulisic and Giovanni Reyna could likely 2 vs 10 the women’s team. If the women generate the same money as the men, then pay them the same. Unfortunately, the men generate significantly more

In future news, US Soccer is bankrupt.

Exactly.
We should also stop using words like men's and women's. If it is all based on social construction then let's go down the rabbit hole and see where it leads

This has nothing to do with the Federation. I'm not aware of any changes to the revenue split between it and the players.
All that happened was the men literally gave their money to the women. Agreed upon by the mne's union.

2018 is the only WC USMNT failed to qualify for this decade.
But yes, it's up in the air if the USMNT has become more competitive.
