3rd in total murders or murder rate?

What strict gun laws are there in New Orleans, St Louis?

Neither.

I often wonder how many of these homicides are self defense. Two young black men out in the streets, one starts shooting at the other, the first shooter ends up dead. And the shooter just hauls arse because he doesn’t trust the police. I’m sure there’s some other crime element to it, but if the cops can’t prove that then it’s self defense. And with these radical DAs I’m sure a lot of these guys could tell their story and walk free.

If you removed every countries 5 most violent cities where would we be?
The us is a big place, this just shows that the violence is in certain areas. Mainly democrat ran cities.
It’s why when democrats say how shitty the country is I just say, yeah it’s y’all.

What do these five cities have in common?
Posted on 8/19/24 at 8:40 pm to GumboPot
Which city has the best mayor? Chicago or New Orleans?

This is complete bullshite. All of it. Just look at the last statement and think how silly it sounds.
I guarantee total number of murders in NYC+LA is way more than dozens of countries. Much less 189 out of 193

If the perpetrators only had one thing in common

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but, sometimes something is so obviously, laughably, and absurdly ridiculous, on its face, that you have to be a bit of an idiot to fall for it.
This op is one of those times.
To even entertain that tweet, first, you have to be capable of believing that the murders in those 5 cities (or murder rates) not only outnumber the combined murders of:
Baltimore
Philidelphia
Cleveland
NYC
Oakland
Baton Rouge
Miami
Houston
Newark
Memphis
Birmingham
Kansas City
Las Vegas
Phoenix
Jackson
Tulsa
Atlanta
Jacksonville
Flint
Trenton
and on and on and on...
... but they outnumber them to such an outlandish degree, that the exclusion of just those five cities, are sufficient to drop the US from "3rd to 189th out of 193", with all those cities I listed, all the cities and towns I didn't list, and every zip code in America combined.
You'd also have to believe, that, we, as a country, could ever exist in a single digit percentile, in any measurable homicide statistic, with just the inclusion of half the cities I listed. Unless that statistic is 'places you're most likely to die of a cause other than homicide' (again, as a country. I'm aware that there are huge swaths of the country where it's extremely unlikely).
Stop spreading 'facts' if you lack the logic and ability to identify retarded shite.
eta- I see a few folks have run the numbers, and, assuming they're correct, those 5 cities account for less than 10% of homicides, with one city making up half of those. OP isn't even in the next room from the truth. He left the truth at home and went on vacation.

When I was traveling in Poland this may, I basically told all this to Poles and international travelers I met...the US cities mostly suck and are dangerous

this bullshite lie has been around for like a decade now and it gets posted here every 6 months by the usuals
in 6 months, it will get posted again, and the same set posters will eat it up, while the other same set of posters will prove how dumb it is
repeat until we die

But it makes the OP and all the upvoters feel good about themselves and it is a continuation and display of their expertise on absolutely every topic under the sun
Posted on 8/20/24 at 8:31 am to GumboPot
I find this hard to believe....not that removing 5 cities wouldn't make all of this difference statistically, but that Memphis isn't one of those cities.

Right
And what’s wild is the OP never returned to this thread to defend why he ever thought this could be true or to, god forbid, edit/take accountability for spreading horse shite
Yet he’d be the first one to tell you about his disdain for “fake news”
Instead he’s asking other posters if they’ve looked into the 9/11 architects
Just ridiculous
