Where do you get a carpenter degree? Trump University?

They are rare and difficult for US citizens to get accepted in.
The majority of these degrees come from south of the Rio Grande.
That why the US COC, DNC and GOPe are OK with the open border, illegal midnight flights that circumvent immigration law and using US taxpayers $ to subsidize their lives.

Minimum age is 20 and you can start an apprenticeship at 16 and schooling goes towards the minimum hours required. So it is entirely possible for a 20 - 21 year old to be a licensed residential electrician.

BRCC has this H.S. dual enrollment program. The interns have been hired directly from graduation.

With that ratio, those majoring in “husbandry” will need to stay longer to get grad degree…….

Not surprising when you have a bunch of sugarboy dorks and a-hole women as professors. Men can’t respect them and don’t want to be pushed around by these freaks

It doesn't fit The Agenda. If the list was based on race, it would be different. They'd be saying college degrees are racist.

Interesting perception that >education = "marrying down"

There are many many billionaires out there w/o college degrees, much less postgrad degrees.

Men have enough financial sense to see that a college degree is a poor investment outside of a STEM, business, or law/medical degrees.

Skilled blue collar work pays better than any job you get with a sociology, gender studies, etc type degrees.

Now break it down by degree field.

I'm betting a large number of those females got completely garbage degrees that are worthless.

Now many English majors end up employed in jobs outside their field of expertise

Interesting that you say this. My best friend from HS double majored in English and Spanish. During summers in college, he taught English to kids in Argentina and Brazil, where he picked up Portuguese.

Dude was hired by Brown Brothers Harriman, and when I asked him how he did it while all of us majored in Econ, he said that BBH told him, "As an English major, we know you can think. We'll teach you business."

My friend is now head of all Latin American investments for a large investment bank and is crushing it.

Moral of the story, communication and critical thinking skills will always be in demand.

Love this story. English majors are pretty useful and the expertise can apply to dozens of jobs across nearly any vertical (industry): tech - entertainment - finance - energy - military - retail etc.

I was an English major from 1 of the well-known East Coast universities and my cuhn-arse brother-in-law said "Another useless degree in the family" (referencing my sister who divorced him some years later).

Although I never wanted to claw up to the C-Suite - didn't get good advice or a mentor - had to fight through my own path I crushed a good bit in the career department. The last gig: hired trained and upskilled a team from 0 to 50 in under 3 years for a Fortune 500; my hires became vital and although we were 1 of the smallest teams in the enterprise we won 3 company-wide awards; one from the Co President that's given to 3 people out of 50000 plus. Then they laid me off 3 months before my paid 30-day sabbatical (a benefit given every 5 years) and without a severance to boot!

Now just 1 of 1 million-plus unemployed white collar folks now considering leaving the US entirely. That was a killer opportunity though so I'm certainly not bitching about capitalism like so many social media kids who want to tear this country to pieces.

Oh and my brother-in-law is a great dude--like a surrogate dad--and we've become good friends. He was probably jealous and unhappy in the marriage when he made the snarky comment.

at least half of these degrees are useless and will never pay off their student loans without the help of a man to pay for them.

I don't buy this data, but I do buy that women outnumber men in college. I also would like to see breakdown by major because my petroleum engineering classes were 90% male. Mass comm degree is worthless. So what if they outnumber, the degrees they get are often (not all) pointless.

better question is how long it would take society to evolve to where women see "marrying down" as acceptable.

Apparently we're already there since you got married.

Look at the rankings for public high schools in Baton Rouge.
Compare the rankings with the gender demographics.
Girls are being sent to the better schools, while boys end up in gladiator academies.
I teach at one the top middle schools in EBR. Our student body is about 68% female. All of the low performing middle schools are between 56-65% male.
