Overly printing money due to covid and the corresponding inflation really scares me. That's by far my biggest worry. Then worldwide depression (which is why we'll continue to overprint to hold it off).

Then the fracturing of the political parties of the US by extremists. It's been happening with the DEMs for years but this Trump election thing has really solidified a similar response to the far left revolt under Trump. Now they will be the minority-revolution party which will embolden the far extremes. The extreme-left will be pissed at a mostly moderate Biden Presidency and will also adopt that minority-revolution identity

That pretty much nails it

Those things might be true, but the left did absolutely none of that shite in months of rioting. The left/media don't care about this, they care about the opening they might get out of this to censor speech, come for your guns, etc.

You can take this excerpt, replace "left" with "right" and it would've applied 9 months ago.

THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT ACT THE SAME.

Probably not but they should be prosecuted

That comes with the territory. The problem was that we didn't do that over the summer. The answer isn't not doing it now.

This what happens when you abandon the rule of law and tacitly or expressly condone mob violence. Politicians and the media should have harshly and categorically condemned the looting and rioting that occurred over this summer. Instead, they excused it and justified it based on self-serving ideology. They set a precedent and invited fanatics from the opposite side of the political spectrum to retaliate with their own brand of violence. Societal norms are in peril. The rule of law - which is the cornerstone of civilized society- is in peril. Instead, we have extremists running amok in all quarters. People have lost or abandoned their ability to reason and view matters objectively. The leaders of this country at every level must reestablish societal norms and respect for the law, or we are doomed to disintegration.

I read the Election Board a few times over the last few months and I concluded that it had to be a LARP at this point

I try not to post much in there, but I've kept tabs on it over the last couple of months to gauge the temperature of the fringe, and frankly I'm not very surprised it's come to this. There are a lot of people who whole-heartedly believe the conspiracies and Trump.

Both of those would take a Super Majority which Dems will not have.
False.

Adding justices only requires a majority.

Republicans control GA and AZ, and PA/MI are split almost 50/50.

There was no way to commit widespread fraud in those states without the complicity of Republican state officials.

Trump fricked this up. Could have just accepted the loss, campaigned non stop over the next 4 years, and build more of a moderate base.

He was never running in 4 years. Lobbing grenades on Twitter is much more fun than actually having the job.

The media will be among the biggest hypocrites in all of this. They of course will react to this as a riot and you will not hear it described as a mostly peaceful protest.

All that's true, but our institutions are entirely one sided. Academia, public schools, media, even a lot of churches, etc. all let 2020 end without noting that it saw the most prolific and widespread political violence in 50 years. That's unbelievable, right?

And now, they'll talk about this for months and months and beyond, and the people who were gaslit during the Summer will grow even more fatigued and we'll do it again.

There are no unifying institutions, that's the problem.

Mail in voting and ballot harvesting of the dregs of society is probably as bad as fraud and the Democrats will fight to keep it

I think we would be talking more about the events if some shite was going on.

NYT reporting that a bomb was placed at the RNC and was safely detonated.

Don’t be so naive. MAGA is a movement. It’s much deeper than just Trump.

MAGA will run again in 4 years
