If you've been holding out for a bar that combines alcohol with ax-throwing, we've got good news for you.
Urban Axes, an ax-throwing and bar concept that originated in Philadelphia in 2016, is in the market for around 10,000 square feet in Houston's urban core, JLL's Matt Parsons told the Houston Business Journal. Click through the slideshow for a glimpse inside some of Urban Axes' locations around the U.S.
Parsons, a senior vice president in JLL's retail services group, said the company is hoping to open its first Houston location in the latter half of 2018. The company's interested in leasing unique industrial retail space, Parsons said, and is primarily looking inside the Loop.

I can't imagine the insurance cost on a place like that

I hear they make you sign a waiver saying you promise not to drunkenly throw an axe at anyone.

I'll take one of the three loops, while stopping at one of the three Top Golfs on my way to this place in Houston.

Would you say your groups opinion on the place was split?

what in the literal hell made someone go.... I mean this bar is cool and all, but it would really be great if I could chuck axes at shite!

Spindletap beer + axe throwing = WIN

Do you drink separately from the ax throwing (as in you're not sitting there pounding beers while you wait your turn?)

Pretty sure it’s like bowling. You drink your beer while you wait your turn.
I love everyone in here saying what a stupid idea it is. If BR ever got something like this there would be a wait list for hours to get in.
