yes. there is a throwing zone like a batting cage. you have 2 'lanes'

there is a throwing line on the ground, a divider wall behind that. the standing around area area with bar tables behind the divider maybe 5-10 yards back from the throw spot

each group get a little section with 2 lanes. you are free to drink as long as you are not throwing

you do a couple prelim rounds, then they make a bracket tournament for a winner. kind of neat set up. you get an employee directing the game, not unsupervised.

i think the most dangerous part is setting the axe in the block when your turn is finished. throwing isnt dangerous at all once you get over the initial nerves. i could easily see someone trying to stick the axe in the wood holding stump miss and slice their leg.

I love everyone in here saying what a stupid idea it is. If BR ever got something like this there would be a wait list for hours to get in.

That isn't because it's not a stupid idea. It's because Baton Rouge is stupid.

You know they'll play up the theme...

Like the bathrooms.

bar concept that originated in Philadelphia in 2016

Probably a SFA grad that moved up there and had a bright idea of incorporating his school's slogan into a bar concept.

what in the literal hell made someone go.... I mean this bar is cool and all, but it would really be great if I could chuck axes at shite!

Sounds like the type of idea that started with a few baws chopping wood for a fire at the hunting camp until someone said "hold my beer"

I can't believe you millenial pussies go to bars to throw axes. Back in my day we went to bars to get away from throwing axes
