Guess I got too relaxed at work and trusted an email between a co-worker and I was private, I was bitching about something that came down the line.

Upper Manager sends the email (my email) to me stating "If you have an issue with corporate policy please come see me" .

These people really sit around reading people's emails ?
Is this possible, or did someone forward it to them ?

Seems Petty AF

Not a smart move to complain about policy in an email on a work account. Why did that seem like a good idea?

You have to speak in code to avoid the email bots. Key words trigger the bots.
Also, they're 100% scanning your internet activity and probably using a keylogger.

My dad and his friends use to use this against the people that they knew were reading the e-mails.

They gaslighted her into thinking that a major restructuring would happen to create a new division with certain people in charge that had no use for her.

Unless you are formally complaining, never put this in writing.

Yeah, bad assumption which I am guilty of myself. Never give something in writing that might come back to haunt you.

Under no circumstances use work email/text for personal correspondence no matter what the official policy says. Don't even access any of your private accounts on a work device. If necessary carry a separate phone.

I remember back a long time ago when I had started a new job. 2nd or 3rd day I got my computer access and promptly sent my wife an email to let her I was up and running with a computer at work and told her to have a good day or something like that.

About 15 minutes later may manager came in and said the IT guy was still setting up a few things for my work and saw the email come across and just wanted to warn me about not sending personal emails.

Now a lot of places in the modern era or much more flexible, but I would never put anything questionable on a work email.

I got tired of a part time management job at a hospital. I was working too many hours. I knew they were reading my emails. They were hoping I would re-write all their procedure manuals and then, I'm certain, they were going to let me go. (They never said this, but the manuals were in such bad shape, they jeopardized by license if the feds would have walked in). I worked there as long as I wanted then sent an email to a friend stating "if these people think I'm going to rewrite these manuals for them, they are crazy." I got a letter 2 days later stating I was no longer needed.
