He will get reelected just like latoya…unless he goes to jail of course
The base loves this shite and the white guilt uptown and marigny progressives love it too.

high numbers of criminals released back on the streets. Airs tonight. Putting the DA's arse on blast I hope.
Its exactly what people voted for.

She and her physician husband love the city, the culture, their children's school, they have successful medical practices, her friends and family are all here, but this was the final straw. They have decided to move. They don't feel safe at home after her neighbor was carjacked moving her garbage can.
Perhaps an unpopular opinion but all these well off, upper class people now threatening to flee the city after the majority of them VOTED FOR THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE infuriates me. This is the result of the policies of the people you support, and yet they'll continue to vote left, post about their solidarity with BLM, happily bend over backwards for vaccine/mask mandates, all while shopping Zillow for a new place on the Northshore.

It's nuts how dogshit this state is.
shite like that ain’t happening elsewhere, like NS and JP, just NO and BR.
I wonder what those places have in common?

I’m genuinely very curious to see the split between inappropriate judicial handling, vs terrible cases being turned in by nopd.

I have attorney friends that work for the DAs office, both under Canizzaro and now.
They have really tough jobs dealing with funding, shitty police work, witnesses refusing to testify or do anything...
The Judges according to them are just as big of a problem as Jason Williams is.
When they actually try to prosecute and convict someone, the Judges in Orleans give the lightest possible sentences, and will give the Defense the most possible deference on any Motion.
It is systemic at every level.

There's been 3 murders in the past 2 weeks just over the parish line in Metry.
Northshore is filled with pedos and an ever increasing amount of meth and heroin.
This whole state sucks. Mississippi is probably past us on the whole and Alabama left us in the dust 10 years ago.

New Warleans is better than ever according to Destroya.

You can be ignorant. It doesn’t bother me. St. Slammany has always been notoriously hard on criminals.

It's pretty much a monthly occurrence that some city or parish official or cop is busted for child porn or some fricked up shite like that up there.

Yet the heroin, fent, and pills continue to pour in

Link?
We know about Strain and maybe 1 or 2 others. But you appear to be off by an astronomical amount.

After showing two Mid-City houses to potential buyers and going to lunch with her husband on Tuesday, Realtor Kelleye R. stopped at the Costco Wholesale off South Carrollton Avenue to buy gas.
Rhein was dragged across the parking lot and left bloodied and semi-conscious. She suffered a fractured skull and vertebrae, a broken cheekbone and abrasions down the right side of her body.
“We love our city, we love the people and the relationships that we’ve built here, and we’d hate to think of losing that,” Jason Rhein said. “But when you can’t feel safe even going to pump gas at Costco at 3 in the afternoon without the fear of getting carjacked, that makes you second-guess things.”
I'm not presuming to guess who the victim of this crime voted for, but she did have a job selling people on the idea of living in the (mid city) area where the carjacking took place.
That's not to put the blame on her for a horrific crime perpetrated by irredeemable thugs, just to say she is in a unique position to underline she got a reality check about living in N.O. and possibly help others who are considering moving to N.O.
She and her family are understandably contemplating moving. It would also be nice to hear them become a voice for change in the city or at least a voice to alert future victims/home buyers about the level of crime and incompetence in the city government.

ALWAYS lock your doors when pumping gas. Many people don't.
I started doing that years ago after reading a thread on the OT.

I actually also walk away from the gas pump a couple of feet to make sure my key fob isn't close enough to where someone could just open the door.
That's the world we live in right now.

Yea, this sucks. Wife and I were trying to do a 2-year fun run down here before moving back to Houston and starting a family but every day that timeline gets more lean

Small price to pay! I can still walk to bars and world class restaurants where I proudly flash my third booster vax proof to the 20 year old doctor at the hostess stand.

No doubt. That’s who sets bail also, which is a big reason why you see so violent offenders back on the street. How often does one get caught for a new crime with existing charges still pending?

This would require one to remain in the community they wish to effect change in. Otherwise, you’re no better than an anonymous poster on the OT.
