Apparently she was abused and assualted as a kid when she went to have a procedure done when she was 6 or 7. She is now 35 or so and has came forward. She posted around 8pm last night and has a 1000 replies and many other ppl sharing their same experiences.

Is this the dentist that doesn't allow parents to go to the back with their kids?

Wouldn’t all the tooth nurses have witnessed this over the years? Nobody spoke up? Sometimes we remember things differently as kids but if a lot of people had the same experience who knows?

Yes he did they same thing to our son about 4 years ago. He was 7 at the time and they took him to the back without our permission and pulled 2 teeth, then we got a bill for it. Never asked us, nor did we every okay it. Of course our son was upset about, we weren't allowed back there. He came back up front to my wife crying and missing 2 teeth.

Ehh. When I was getting my hair cut last week, there was a kid crying like crazy with momma hovering around... and my lady commented to me the kids are always much better when the parents wait up front of the salon.

Pulled my son's tooth without asking for my consent. When I questioned him about it, his response was, "Well, it needed to be pulled so I figured I'd just go ahead and take care of it." Needless to say we switched dentists soon after.

GIMMICK

I'm a dentist and I can tell you first hand that this is an excuse that many "pediatric" dentists use so that parents aren't back there to witness how their child is treated. When they come up to the front shaken up, crying, who are you going to believe - the young child who doesn't know anything, or the smooth-talking professional? It's a game they play to not have the pressure of an adult monitoring them, the (in many instances unwarranted) treatment they perform, and the manner in which they perform it. Be weary of ANY dentist who says parents aren't welcome in the back or encourage against it. It's a gimmick 100%

Dentists aren’t fun for anymore.

For those that brush and care for their teeth, they are not as bad.
