It's hilarious to ever see a leftist say "waiting on some facts." This only happens in instances where we actually have enough facts to draw conclusions already, and is never said in situations where it is beneficial to their worldview.

Platinum. Thank you sir.

Like the “noose” that had multiple statements and condemnations prior to “waiting on some facts”?

Some people are such animals to take a life from someone without a single thought of the value of that life to so many people and the fact that it's the ultimate evil act in this world. It's so sickening. Imagine being a parent getting that phone call.

Then imagine being a parent of a daughter 1,000 miles away and hearing nothing from the university addressing the issue.

How might the university address issues that happen off campus?

All I know is I would fire the idiot that wrote the misspelled and grammar murder press release. From our Flagship University. SMH.

There’s hundreds upon hundreds of dangerous tPOS in Baton Rouge who have killed more than three people and would be classified as serial killers who live in NBR. Just so happens, they are pumping gas right next to you on Jefferson, who haven’t been caught yet.

I can make a list of 100 off campus things that the university has addressed and continues to address. What a stupid, fricked up comment.

You don't think LSU addressed George Floyd?

You don't think LSU addressed Alton Sterling?

You don't think an LSU student getting into some trouble off campus would be addressed?

You don't think an LSU student who posted something controversial or racial on their social media (off campus) would be addressed?

frick you

So you're happy the university addressed those topics?

Universities routinely address stories involving students, especially ones as heinous as this one. Any other questions?

Aside from all the CRT Tate is all about, he’s actually done a decent job up to this point.

The individuals he is placing in high level positions are going to absolutely destroy this university. We’re already beginning to see the effects.

I think I asked the wrong question. I really meant why does it matter what they say, and how does a statement assuage parents?

in what way has he done a decent job? Like someone said, who he is hiring at the highest levels of the university? Has CRT crept into campus in any way?

If you don't think it is appropriate for the president of LSU to address the murder of a student, and to also bring up the issue of crime in the city where his university resides, then I'm not sure you are engaging in a good-faith discussion.

Not only is it appropriate, it is his job.

His number one responsibility is the safety of his students. Period. Beyond that, nothing else matters.

If he believes that ANY entity is threatening that safety, whether it is the mayor, police department or anyone else, he should address it - forcefully.

Shitty attempt to crawfish. You got expertly backed into a corner, roasted with new potatoes and carrots, and served. Bitch.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Like it or not, his number one responsibility is the prosperity of the university. And I'm not sure if the president of LSU publicly blasting the city about crime is great optics in regards to prospective students.

Put another way, do you think prospective students are more likely to think "damn, crime is apparently so bad that even the president of the university is blowing a gasket over it, so I should stay away" or "crime is apparently awful, but at least the president of the university is angry about it, so I'm going to go to his school"?

I think I've angered you. I believe statements are worthless. I just wanted to hear another opinion. I respect yours.
