MONROE, La. (KNOE) - UPDATE: LHSAA has announced that Carroll High School head football coach Brandon Landers and eight other coaches affiliated with the team have been suspended for the altercation that happened on Oct. 20, 2022.

LHSAA says the coaches won’t be allowed to attend practices or coach another game for the rest of the 2022 season.

LOL at lepdagod saying nothing would happen to the coaches.

Good luck in the playoffs Carroll.

Won't hurt nearly as much as the battery of a police officer arrest.

Damn I'm old. When I was in school I think there were about 2 and a half, and all of them had to teach classes, too.

Well they obvious weren’t gonna let some racist arse white officer just do them any ole way.

Or some such verbatim that is said in these situations.

Some high schools were getting complex enough for various position coaches when I was in HS almost 20 years ago.

What was most impressive was how the players and fans reacted with class once the coaches were back on the Carroll side of the field. True class.

How old are you? HS teams have had a coach per position for forever...

I'd be curious to know how many of them are registered to coach, and how many are just part of the coach's posse.

UH, maybe at 4A and 5 A, but 1A and 2A are lucky to have 4 or 5, and at least two of them are guaranteed to not know if a football is blown up or stuffed because they are baseball/softball coaches.

The sheriff needs to make an arrest if appropriate and the school board can pound sand. It’s bad enough these days raising boys to act like men, but it’s impossible when men act like trash.

Shoutout to jbgarner2010 for giving a quick synopsis of how it went down in the original thread:

quote:

From what I read on other facebook/sportsline, several Carroll coaches in the FPHS (home) press box. Cussing a lot. Asked to stop by fans, the announcers, principal, and finally sheriff. They would never stop. Sheriff goes to remove them. One refuses. Supposedly puts his hands on the sheriff...gets a little physical. Home fans try to help sheriff out. On field Carroll coaches leave their bench, run all the way across the field mid game stopping the game, into the bleachers, and then that's where the video picks up at with the big pile of bodies in the stairs/aisle.
