Then the mountain lion is probably constipated.
Nah. The tent material is like roughage.

Probably would have attracted a park ranger camping in a stream bed.
Most of those national parks don’t allow you to camp within a stream bed or too close to a body of water. They don’t want the ecosystems damaged and there is always concerns of flash flooding if you had a freak rainstorm anywhere upstream.
They want you to stick to campgrounds or back country camping areas marked on maps for the most part.
Yes, it's dispersed camping in that area, they want you to use existing campsites but with record numbers of visitors in that area the last few months I can see this being overlooked. You are mostly going to see the park rangers inside the park stopping speeders, managing wildlife sightings, and dealing with problems at official campsites.

i think they slept in a tent rather than the van because they had too much stuff...the width of that cork board or whatever was the only open space in the back.

I know the area well she had to have been buried or covered with rocks. Otherwise animals would have gotten her and there wouldn't be much left.
The ants would go straight to the eyes
Buzzards would pick through the rocks with their beaks. I can’t imagine the condition the body would be in but I’ve found deer in the woods that were shot and been there for 2 weeks and were still in tact

Chicken told him to take a break from the bitching and arguing. He has.

what if she was covered by a tent?
There would have been a tent where they found her. There wasn’t. It looks like she was in/under a bush.

You missed the point of what I was saying. Lee is trying to say that people can't be comfortable in, camp, sleep, or even live in vans exactly like that. He's wrong. People do it all the time, all over the world, during all seasons, and some even make a living doing it.

Then, I misread. He did ask them to leave, I think. Tacky has been a nuisance and I read it wrong.

HERE WE GO. This is our latest little detail to interpret and argue about, with everyone picking some side.

why would a mountain lion put her under a bush when there was a tent right there?

He's told multiple people to "take a break" when the thread devolves into bickering. Most of them have just stopped the bickering and remained in the thread.

Still fascinating
It really, really is.
The only thing making this "fascinating" are people's conspiracy theories about the entire case and the social media hype. It's actually pretty cut and dry. Boyfriend killed girlfriend. Drove home to parents. Now he's on the run.

"Even if eaten by animals there would still be some remains and clothing one would assume."
Depends on the animal, people don't realize there are bears all around that area and if they got ahold of her then not much would be left. With them saying the person matches her description that tells me she wasn't eaten. The other thing is people would have seen the animal activity camping along that road. So those are reasons I think she was buried or covered up.
