Does anyone know how the cell service is in the area where Gabby was found or the area where he was allegedly hitchhiking?
take this with a grain of salt but when i went west about 10 years ago there was almost no service anywhere except a small pocket in yellowstone near the base camp and we didn't see service again until we hit jackson hole.
tetons & yellowstone are massive national parks and i think the rules around where cell towers can be located are pretty strict.

Someone familiar with the area posted that the service was good where her body was found. It was somewhere around page 105-120, I think.

It is odd that the search warrant says that her phone was no longer operational after the "Stan" text on Aug 27...what does that mean as it relates to the supposed Aug 30 "yosemite" text?

Police in Mobile said he wasn't the corpse in the Walmart Parking lot.
I heard that the corpse was black. If so, it fits with the rest of the search for where this clown has been for the last 2+ weeks.

If I'm going to off myself it sure as shite ain't gonna be anywhere near a damn Walmart if I have any choice in the matter at all.
That's neither here nor there, though.

My wife was just watching a TikTok of some guy (heavy Southern/redneck accent) saying "they" found the boyfriend hanging from a tree.
So the Klan got to him. This IS a wild story!

I thought someone said it went off on 9/1? Or was that Brian's phone?

I think someone said earlier the service would have been just fine out there.
I asked that yesterday and the person that said it was good gave no further information. Like firsthand experience.
Myself, I lean towards it likely being shitty anywhere outside towns.

The August 30th text has become a real head scratcher.

Same here. On my move out to Oregon a few years ago, we drove all the way across Wyoming and didn't have service the entire way. A hotel employee told me that you had to have one specific carrier (Verizon?) to get service until you got into Idaho.

And she has no friends.
How many cute little blondes do you know that have no friends?
You must have missed this.
"Gabby Petito’s boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, who has also gone missing and is being sought by the FBI, suffered with jealousy and control issues and experienced “episodes” in which he would hear voices and not be able to sleep, Petito’s friend told the Daily Mail.
Rose Davis, 21, of Sarasota, described Laundrie as a controlling and manipulative boyfriend, in one incident stealing Petitio’s ID so she wouldn’t be able to go out to bars with her.
Petito had described the strange episodes to Davis, which at times forced Petito to sleep at her house.
“He’s got these jealousy issues and he struggles from what Gabby called these ‘episodes,’ where he would hear things and hear voices and wouldn’t sleep,” she told the outlet.
“Gabby had to stay at my house a bunch of times because she just needed a breather and didn’t want to go home to him.”
Davis said she “used to consider [Laundrie] a friend,” after spending time with the couple.
She said she believes she was one of Petito’s only friends in Florida after she relocated there from Long Island, and believed Laundrie was jealous of their relationship and taking her away from him.
She said the two friends would share locations on their iPhones to keep each other safe “in case we got lost,” but Laundrie made Petito stop sharing once he found out.
“He had this composure as a sweet, nice, caring guy. But you could tell he’s a little off, a little weird. Like, he’d set up our hammocks when we’d go to the beach, but wouldn’t sit with us, which I found bizarre,” she told the Daily Mail.
“Brian has a jealousy issue,” Davis said. “I’m her only friend in Florida to my knowledge and that’s not because she can’t make friends, he just didn’t want her to have friends.”
Rose Davis says Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie progressively got into “more and more arguments.”
“He was always worried she was going to leave him,” she said. “It was a constant thing to try to get us to stop hanging out.”
I'm not saying I necessarily believe all that or not. But posters have talked about context. And that statement is from someone who was an eye witness to their relationship and saw them interact.

yeah, maybe the combination of the two things. apparently, their preferred mode of communication was facetime. i read that they had been doing that 2-3 times a week, prior to the last 2 supposed texts. i definitely get why she was concerned about the use of the grandfather's first name if GP did not refer to him in that manner.

Just curious if there were any confirmed sightings of BL from Sep 1 - Sep 14? Has anyone seen him at all besides his parents?

No one here can really answer that with any certainty.

No.
In fact, I wasn't talking to any "we", only to the individual I was replying to, who clearly did.
24,000 posts? I would think you would understand that pretty simple concept by now.

Yellowstone to North Port is a 2350 miles/35 hour drive, not counting stops for food, gas, and sleep. that's 2.5-3 days if he really pushed it. if he got to florida 9.1.21, he had to have left no later than 8.30, and probably before.
