I don't really trust his parents. They probably knew he was going to disappear or helped him disappear since they said he stated that he had a backpack and said he was "going on a hike" while his girlfriend was missing and the pressure was on him.

My guess is that it was buried. No way someone official checks out every set of buzzards, but to a certain extent you are probably right that a camper/ tourist would have in that creek bed. Those are pretty open areas and you can often see a long ways. But it’s really hard to say.
I doubt the body was just left out in the open though and not hidden to some degree.
It’s also possible they got into a fight, he hit her with like a river rock in the head, and she ran off and died and he didn’t know where she was. Who knows.
I hope he’s dead but I also hope for her parents sake he’s alive and confesses.

Were they foul play or runaways? Did they have bf/gf show up without them from a trip and not saying anything? And then they go missing. Bizarre stuff all around. This story is wild enough to warrant the attention. Has nothing to do with her looks to me. I don’t find her attractive, but I get the perception she is considered pretty.
And of those 100+ you mention are every single one of them ugly/not attractive?
This story sort of reminds me of Natalee Holloway in that you have a really good idea of who did it, but you want to see them be proven guilty.
Often times so many people assume the bf did it with these cases and I often take the wait and see approach. I don’t just assume the bf. However, this is a rare case I felt the bf was involved and now I have interest in finding out what happened. I’m intrigued from that aspect.

The 36 hour drive in 40 hours makes complete sense now. That boy probably didn’t sleep a lick up until this past Tuesday when he left his parents to go on a hike and never returned.

Don’t trust any of them. They hadn’t heard from her since Aug 29/30 - which the last text may have been Brian - but still - you wait 12 days to report her missing?????
She had been FaceTiming/texting a few times a week - not sure how often she was posting online

There is a step between worrying and filing a missing persons report. Especially if you know they might be the type to drop off for several days.
