So the Bethune video of the van was actually a person who may have been burying a body caught accidentally..

The odds of that happening are amazingly slim. I'm not saying it didn't happen, it OBVIOUSLY did catch the van, but to capture footage of the final destination of GP is such a lucky break.

Don’t trust any of them. They hadn’t heard from her since Aug 29/30 - which the last text may have been Brian - but still - you wait 12 days to report her missing?????

She had been FaceTiming/texting a few times a week - not sure how often she was posting online

But nothing for two weeks and then you worry?

Negligent maybe, but untrustworthy? They just had a daughter die, I don't understand what motive they would have to be untrustworthy.

On the other hand, Brian's parents have been shutting up and possibly creating red herrings.

also possible they got into a fight, he hit her with like a river rock in the head, and she ran off and died

That's pretty specific. BL?

There is a step between worrying and filing a missing persons report. Especially if you know they might be the type to drop off for several days.

I see what you are saying - but according to Gabby’s mother (can she really be trusted?) Gabby was FaceTiming her 2 or 3 times a week since GP & BL left. then the mother claims to gets strange texts at the end of August.

So did they really just blow that off? She’s stopped communicating, even though there seems to have been some sort of pattern - but it’s ok? Just chalk it up to no reception.

I guess to a certain extent - they could let it go - but two weeks after a certain pattern is odd to me.

Is not exactly summer in WY anymore. For example it's 41 degrees right now and it's not even dark yet.

True, but there was a week long stretch of high 70s to mid 80s starting 9/5

He's visibly upset.

If her dead body was in the van can’t forensics figure that out bu testing the van?

Considering she had been living in the van for months and there's a 100% chance her DNA is in it, how could they possibly prove her dead body was in the van unless there's blood splatter?

The 36 hour drive in 40 hours

Why only 40 hours? Hitched a ride on the 29th, got home on the 1st. So depending on when he got home, that could be 72 hours.

It feels like he did something, and then once he knew where they were searching went away and ended things for himself. Hopefully it’s not what happened because her family deserves to know the truth about whatever he knows regarding their daughter.

I have a reason for asking the question of if you trust her parents.

If you take away the many pages of speculation, shuck rebel's weird shrine to the girl, and focus only on what is known, you have to answer that question.

What we have, all that we have, are the words of the missing/dead girl, the story Brian is telling (however scant that is), and a bunch of family and friends who have no real knowledge of what was actually going on.

We've already seen in this very thread random posters with a willingness to outright ignore anything negative about Gabby. That doesn't stop with her parents. We are not privy to the realities of the relationship between Gabby and Brian. Their parents only know what they have been told by their respective children. Somewhere in all of the muck is the truth.

You have to ask yourself do her parents have a vested intrest in molding or dictating how that truth is presented to the general public.

I do think that is what led them to eventually going to the other parents house and getting the police involved.

Trying to convince law enforcement that is either across the country from the missing person or across the country from the person wanting to make the claim is probably not easily done. Especially if you start with "my transient free spirited daughter, who was with her loving fiance, living in the backwoods in an undetermined location." Hard to do a welfare check on that. Even in NOLA these kind of cases pop up on social media every few weeks.

He drove the van from WY to FL. Where is this hitchhiking theory coming from?
