None
If you were sitting in a van in Wyoming in the mountains you would have the door open for cool air.
If a vehicle came down the road kicking up dust you would close the door to not get dust in the van and to breathe all th dust the vehicle is kicking up.

Anyone know where the lesbian couple was killed? Or where they were found dead?
Yes. Moab, UT.

Has there been confirmation that the place where the investigators found the body is even remotely near the place seen in the dash cam video?
The video gave them a place to start looking and yes, they found the body near there.
And I saw Elvis waving at the Bethune family as they drove by, but I don't think he killed her.

So how did he get to where he hitch hiked? Or is that story false?

Yeah, so what if it is the only reason? Good enough for me.

Allegedly they were already looking and found a body before the video was posted.

What's your next murder obsession? These are purely entertainment for you. It's now over. All the details have been reported. I bet Fox News will find another murder mystery for you.

Nobody is suggesting the van door closing implicates him of anything nefarious.
It does prove that someone is awake and present at the van on August 27, 2021 around 6:00-6:30. Which might prove to be important information.

I guess saying the area was barricaded off hours earlier and people were told to leave would have been a better way to say it.

That’s a great question. Colter bay where he was supposedly picked up looks like it’s 27ish miles from where the Bethune video and body was found. About an hour drive it says online. So his story of ‘hiking for days’ would be possible from the 27th to 29th but also seems very unlikely, that would be a weird arse hike to take and there’s no natural path between the 2. Also as the girl said he wasn’t carrying gear to do that.
It’s also possible she was still alive and maybe he left her, got back and they fought, and she died. Who knows

To catch up some people here, there's two clues we're also not really discussing: the flip-flops outside the back of the van in the video (suggesting that in the time the van had parked there there was leisurely activity) and the van is missing some stickers that are present on the van now, suggesting that after August 27 someone thought appropriate to apply new decorative stickers to the van.
These things could possibly suggest she was still alive at this time.

Did they say how the body was found? Was it buried in a shallow grave? in a creek?

I bet she put up a fight against him. I really don't want to think about it.
When the police got called she had sure "put up a fight against him". So much so that the police had to bend over backwards not to arrest her for domestic violence.
That's the facts we know so far. Whatever ID show drama you have conjured up in your mind is, at this point, little more than fantasy.

Y’all help me out on this… If her body had been out there for roughly 2 weeks wouldn’t there have been buzzards and other animals around? Where I’m going with this is it’s some people’s job to track and count wildlife. Seems to me a ranger, wildlife management agent, hobbiest, or a tourist would have checked the activity out at some point.

Those details have not been released. The OT is speculating it was a traditional Sioux burial.

It is a big ol' world out there.
That's alot of ground to cover.
