What awesome news to see! I just caught up on the thread and see that they were able to pump out enough water to make most of the path walkable...I’ll be curious to know if they ended up still having to dive for portions of the trek and what procedures they implemented for that. Hopefully they will be able to rescue the entire team before the rains start back up. What a heroic rescue effort so far!

Sounds like tomorrow. Those divers need some rest.

Some are reporting only four out, some report six. We shall see. But getting the first few out is great news, even better that apparently the weakest were prioritized so the ones who are already out were the riskiest.

Apparently the focus now is on planting more oxygen tanks so they can get the rest out. Supposedly there are 90 divers involved in this but they need oxygen too of course.

PBS is going to make a NOVA episode out of this when it’s all said and done.

Look at that link provided just a while ago. Looks like a massive operation.
Great to see people from all over the world coming to together to help this cause

Four were actually rescued according to the lead person on their team. He had a press conference.

Can’t imagine what those kids, their parents, and rescuers are going through.

Yes it is only 4 as all the news reports have corrected their previous statement of 6.

Yep. I saw some Twitter posts indicating that perhaps the 5th and 6th had made it to the third chamber but weren’t out yet. That could explain the confusion and backtracking from the media.

The media is so fast to be first they get sloppy. It’s horribly annoying.

Could very well be.

My guess is that with that many divers involved they simply set up a chain of rescuers along the whole way. That way you don't have anyone doing more than one round trip to get them out, and most of them less than that.

Then the ones who actually do go all the way take the kids to the first people in the chain to be relayed out.

If that's the case then it makes perfect sense that a couple of the kids are already most of the way (but not all the way) out.

Correction: CNN is reporting that the entire operation involves 90 divers, but only 13 are actually getting the kids out. I'm guessing the rest are placing oxygen tanks, etc.

I've read that the weakest came out first and I've read that the strongest came out first. Wondering how it was actually done.

And the doctor that is in there with them --- is he a trained diver as well???

Recent Fox Report - Contains Excellent Graphic of CaveLINK

Hallelujah!!

This link contains the best graphic I've seen on the cave. It's way down in the article.

It seems like the overwhelming majority of reports are indicating that the weakest are coming out first.
