re: Upcoming Memphis Riots

According to my cousin that has a radio news show, body cam won't be released today.

Today there is a hearing to determine the police officers employment status.

The family and their attorneys will be shown the body cam footage first. But only after TBI finishes whatever they are doing. Monday at the earlies but not guaranteed. After all of the different LE agencies are through and family have seen the body cam footage, then it will be released to the public.

I talked to one person that claims to have seen it. He says it's very bad.

There is also a club volleyball tournament in town. My daughter coaches a team that will be there. I wasn’t excited about her going, even before all this.

I was wondering this myself? Obviously if its 5 white boys its gonna be bad, but if its 4 black guys and a hispanic guy what the hell are they going to be pissed about?

I heard the same, word is 5 officers, 3 of them are black, and I was told its way worse than Rodney King and Floyd. Also incriminating against EMS who responded as well.

I hate it for the police they have shite job and get a lot of undeserved grief when dealing with the worst of society. That said going around picking fights with intoxicated people and beating the shite out of them while hiding behind a badge is far to regular of a hobby for a lot of police.

White hispanic and will be the leader one way or the other. Initial arresting officers of Floyd were 1 black and 1 white, and then 1 white (Chauvin) and 1 Asian came to assist due problems original officers were having with him (going by npr article as I thought the black cop came with Chauvin). I am sure more than a few rioters and even more Democrats would have been pissed if Floyd hadn’t died, and zero cared about arrests, firings, or waiting for anything that might suggest something other than the white bean pole kneeling on him contributed to Floyd’s death.

Has to be all black cops to minimize rioting and looting. A lot of hopes of rioting and looting are riding on at least one white cop involved in beatings or even just in background not doing enough to stop the black cops, but a white hispanic used often enough in press along with some edited pictures will still be enough for some.

If an election year the black cops would just be considered tools of the man enforcing institutional racism and victims of white supremacy themselves.
