Do you have any idea how the date for Shrove Tuesday is set? Apparently you don't.

I'm not a papist nor am I from Louisiana but I understand its association with lent and the religious connotations That are in its very foundation are intertwined that is impossible to separate them

Please don't ever make another post regarding Mardi Gras ever again. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

How old are you? Did you go to school on a very short bus?

Even if they don’t, you have to know Mardi Gras correlates with the beginning of lent…which correlates with Easter. New Orleans doesn’t just unilaterally “schedule” Mardi Gras.

This isn't about Easter. Just Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras has always been about Easter. It starts on Fat Tuesday, which is the day before Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, which is the preparation for Easter,.which coincides with the Paschal full moon.

IOW, you can't do a damn thing about when Mardi Gras is year-to-year.

You didn't give me enough notice for next year but I made the call and we can accommodate your request for 2027.

Dont care either way, but I can't see it being changed due it's religious connection.

I know, ironic, isn't it?

Connection? Truly, you morons are getting fricked up and have no clue why. Hey, can we move Jesus' birthday, its way too cold during Christmas...

At least it wasn’t during the major snowstorm
