I use twitter to keep up with high school football and recruiting around the country. To keep up with games around the country on Friday nights during the season, I have three List of twitter accounts I can pull up. I have one list of 241 Louisiana reporters, a list of 170 Texas reporters and a list that includes all of the members of those two lists plus another 272 reporters from other states.
I might scroll thru 600 tweets when I'm going thru watching video of plays from games and scores on a given Friday night. I know I've posted as many as 200 of the tweets to the Geaux247 board most Friday nights too.

Wait, you're still on the "lost advertisement" train?
Just today I've blocked ads from both CNN and Chevrolet, along with countless others. There are more ads on my feed now than maybe ever.

I was just messing with you Im getting a lot of ads too. Seems like more today than normal, when I am able to get it to work, which is rare.

I make sport of blocking promoted ads. The only one I haven't is the Michael J. Fox Foundation one because I just can't bring myself to do it. I bet there are 3,000 on my blocked list, but they just keep coming like locusts.

It's actually stupid as hell. Plenty of extremely popular social media apps are shells of themselves now due to changes and incompetence.
