University of Edinburgh renames David Hume Tower after George Floyd, citing Hume’s racism

But robbing a black woman at gunpoint by pressing the gun into her belly to threaten her unborn child doesn't cause any distress at all today. Violence against black women will get you canonized and a building named after you.

I wouldn't know anything about that. What I do know is that the BLM movement and the lefties embracing George Floyd and Jacob Blake reinforces what has been known for years. That black women are not valued or protected in the black community, quite the opposite. And so-called white allies will do nothing to protect them. Instead they make political hay with the violence done against them. It's fricking sick.

The irony is that without Hume’s contributions there is likely no postmodernist philosophy on Western college campuses. Without that, there is no Marxist veneration of criminals who become working class heroes. You can’t have St. Floyd without Hume.
