$20 an hr is not unreasonable when fast food places start at $14-15/hr now a days.

Sitting in a fast food kitchen or working a crazy arse drive through at one is ten times harder than a Starbucks job.

There is nothing special about the customer service need to be a “barista” other than being somewhat efficient and being able to take care of white womens requests on all the specialty drinks

No offense to anybody but if anyone is complaining about the Starbucks workers in this thread while also claining to be a Trump fan, I am sorry, but you don't know or understand what Trumpism is (friendly to the common working man not the elite corporations) nor what Populism is (ditto).

Donald Trump should walk the picket line with the workers and complain about "Elite Woke Corporate Bosses pushing coprorate gay love mandates while not helping their employees when they get sick".

I find it surprising you don't get this. If you are a fan of Trump or DeSantis you should be on the workers side here.

Checks out. The man has a great point, folks. Why hire low skilled workers that can be outsourced by harder working, and often times more intelligent, folks that'll do it at a fraction of the price?

Their demands are unreasonable. No sane human should support.

When you reward lack of education and/or skill with high paying jobs, you get people who never advance in their lives.

Jobs are paid based on replacement value.

Unskilled, uneducated workers are easily replaced, they have little value.

Uhhhh…. You shouldn’t be rich if your job is pouring coffee in a cup, adding flavor juice, and spraying whipped cream.

Starbucks will survive as long as customers continue to pay ridiculous prices for their products.

You’d have to be a complete moron to believe this is remotely realistic, especially to make fancy coffee.

If I have to explain the joke then it is no longer funny, correct? Perhaps look at the subject to whom I am responding, go back and read the post I am quoting.

Your lack of humour is disturbing.

Go automated. To think they deserve that pay for that level of work is just hilarious.

My daughter worked at PJs. They always had 2 minimum there and usually 3 or 4.
