I don’t disagree. I’m merely saying many publicly traded companies have security. Maybe not 24/7 but certainly if on some sort of work related trip. Again not saying it’s green berets.

Well say he only takes 25 million instead. That's about 500 more kidney transplants they could have approved.
What do you think happened to those 500 kidneys otherwise? You think they are still waiting for transplant recipients?

If the SS isn't 100% foolproof at VIP protection, neither are a bunch of rent a cops, which is what most of these private security types are. The pool of former Tier 1 operators willing to babysit some CEO is pretty small.
You'd be surprised. The Fortune 10 company I've worked for since 08 has a CEO with full time security detail from a private security firm that is also world renowned and it's not parking lot rent a cops. Even a command center ran by the firm with cameras all over his house, places of business, and a mobile command, all staffed 24/7 with eyes on it and analytics. It's probably better than the secret service.

The company I work for isn't in a volatile market and when an executive flies in from corporate there is an ex secret service agent in tow.

He was seen talking into a phone. Nobody knows yet if there was somebody on the other end.
I’m wondering how he knew when Thompson would be walking outside. If the shooter is actually on the phone in the minutes prior to the shooting then maybe he’s talking to someone else acting as a spotter.

Here's a quote from the NY Post. They must have surveillance footage of him getting off of the bus with his mask on. They don't know where he got on the bus on the route form Atlanta to New York. This guy really covered his tracks.
"The suspected killer who gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson came to New York City on an interstate Greyhound bus last month, police sources told The Post.
The suspect arrived at the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan back on Nov. 24 after it set off from Atlanta, Georgia, according to the sources.
It wasn’t immediately clear, though, where the cold-blooded gunman jumped on the bus.
After setting foot in the Big Apple, he checked into the HI New York City Hostel on the Upper West Side before going to stake out the Hilton Hotel in Midtown where he ended up killing Thompson early Wednesday."

So, the shooter is a Dawg fan?
Also, the CEO's wife released a very long, detailed statement right after. I thought it was too much for a woman that just took an emotional falcon punch.
Her and the CEO lived in the same town, but in different houses, and had been part for a while.

Looks like an OT'er earlier in this thread called it. He said the gun was probably a "Station Six." Police confirmed they believe it was that gun as well.
The Station Six comes from the factory with a suppressor built in and you have to rack the slide after every shot. This means his gun was not jamming. It's just how the gun works. There's videos on YouTube of people firing it and they rack the slide after every shot.
The Station Six is a modern American version of the old WWII era British "Welrod" handgun. Magazine fed, but single shot.
(Sorry if this has already been addressed in the thread, I don't have time to read it all).

Seems pretty crazy that it was (prior to the murder of course) just some guy and they already determined all this? Talk about surveillance state.

I worked for a subsidiary of one of the biggest and most iconic american companies and when its CEO came to our office, it was as if several world leaders were there

He was obviously talking gross before taxes. You don’t need to be a dick.

He said 80 or 90 billion, it's actually much less, which I pointed out, from the publicly available income statement on google finance, and that's before taxes. Taxes are on the net, not the gross. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make, or why you are calling me a dick.

urveillance video has him exiting the nearest subway stop at 615 am and is at a Starbucks prior to 630 am. The perp was not likely on site more than 15 minutes prior to the shooting.
Didn’t that fella say he was on the corner all night?

No he didn't. Here we are only two days later and they have tracked this guy all the way to Atlanta, his gun to Connecticut, and know the hotel room he was staying in. He used an alias when he checked in, but that won't matter. It will be easy to identify him.
A professional would not have been dumb enough to stay in a hotel in the first place and a pro would not have been using a cell phone.
