Lately, if I sit too long with my knee bent in a certain way, I get pain.

Lately, even lying down, I cannot find a good position to make the pain subside.

The pain goes away after walking or moving it around.

I had the same problem. Turns out it was arthritis from kicking so much arse at Sonic.

You most likely have patellofemoral pain syndrome. Google it and see if symptoms match.

Could be you twisted it and have damaged your MCL. Sleep with a thin pillow between your knees to reduce pain overnight and see an orthopedist.

This sounds terrible. Ask your doctor for a fentanyl prescription.

You are a candidate for knee amputation.

Sounds like arthritis. Lose weight, take chondroitin and glucosamine, heating pad, strengthen the core around it.

It's either

Knee Cancer

Or

Knee AIDS

Dr. StayPuffs diagnosis is amputation. Sorry for you being a gimp.

You've come to the right place.

Get a drill with a large bit.
Drill into your knee cap.
You'll forget about the other pain.
Charge: $400
Make check payable to
Igor Quakenbush, MD
Thanks

Not enough info, it could be anything. How long has this been going on? A few years ago I started having knee issues. Hurt going up stairs, sometimes when kneeling but not always. Almost always bothered me when walking on uneven ground or gravel, but if I was on solid even ground or floor it was fine. Turns out I had a torn meniscus, which is a pretty common problem. Go to the dr and get it checked out.

Thanks for the advice I knew the OT would not disappoint from answers like AIDS, Cancer, Stop Giving BJs, and amputation.

Next week, I will try to schedule an appointment.

The pain is not constant it just comes in waves. So it will hurt for a little while then disappear and then reappear.

My biggest concern is that it appears that it is getting more frequent.

Wtf do you expect?

You said your knee hurt unless you were walking. That's not a whole lot of information. It might be worse than those state law legal questions without a state.

I'm not a doctor, but, today, I can play one on the ot.

IT DEPENDS.

How old are you?

Could be arthritis or it could be a small meniscus tear.

Orthro Doctor will bend it and tell you, pretty accurately, what's wrong by what hurts it.

He may offer you either oral medication or a cortizone(sp) shot in the knee.May just offer the shot.

That's the route I'd go.

That is exactly how it was when I tore the meniscus in my left knee. it was such a slow progression I couldn't even pin point when exactly started. I started noticing a problem in mid summer and just thought I had twisted it. by october I scheduled a appointment because it was getting worse. I scheduled surgery for Dec 4th and I had to take off the last week of work before because it had gotten to where I couldn't do my job with it.
