I doubt we see anything. I'm supposed to go dig clams around 4 on a +.1 low tide. I guess we will see what we see.
Washington razor clam? If so, which beach?
Normally I’d head to Copalis on a day like this, but my freezer is still full from those 20 limit days during the fall digs.

The eruption severed the undersea internet cable to Tonga so info will be sparse for a while.
Have they heard of satellites in Tonga?

I mean you're right, but it is actually shocking how much of the worldwide internet infrastructure is undersea cables

That's cut too with a massive ash cloud over them

An example of this that has been in the news lately is one of the main internet cables connecting Norway and Svalbard was cut. It is one of two cables, and only means they lost their redundancy and have no backup now. A conspiracy-minded person would look at Russia's interests there and wonder.

A massive meteor strike in the Pacific would do far worse damage, I'd imagine. Still amazing to see from space.

Anywhere showing the size of this eruption in comparison to others? Mt. St. Helens, Pinatubo, Krakatoa?
