Maybe this thing will wash all those cargo ships ashore in California so we can finally get them unloaded.

The Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcanic eruption was heard here in Alaska starting around 3:30 a.m. - 6,000 miles from the volcano! Infrasound measurements from the @alaska_avo confirm that it was indeed coincident with the volcanic pressure wave. Special thanks to Dr. David Fee. LINK

When a place like Tonga isn't even immune to the morons of social media there is no hope.

It appears we’ve found Tonga’s version of rednecks who scream “Hold my beer!” before making a really bad decision.

Yeah i hope this isn’t a pattern or forewarning of increased volcanic activity. SV can be damn near end of life on earth events, it’s happened many times before and will again. We are kinda of overdue

That's a new one for me. Like a stuffed teddy bear or like a pet Grizzly?

We've been in an active period for volcanic eruptions for more than a year now.

The particles will then fall back to Earth and on their journey they will create unfathomable amounts of lightning.

Yeah I've never associated lightning with a volcano before. But it makes sense if you know the basics of how lightning works. Blew my mind when I saw that strike counter posted a couple pages back.

I heard somewhere that the ash cloud went so.ethink like 20km into the sky. That's just crazy to me. Does anyone know how deep under the surface this volcano was? Seems like it couldn't be that deep if it threw shite 20km into the sky. Or maybe it's very deep and it just had that much force. Either way it's fricking insane.

That was a pretty loud bang knowing they're over 600 miles away.
