The whole Tri-Ad area is nice, however Winston is one of the weaker links of the 3 cities, IMO.

Could have put this on my list as well. Went with Clarksville,TN instead. My in-laws recently moved to Hopkinsville, KY and it's okay. But I really like Paducah and Clarksville, the two biggest cities near them.

Absolutely!

Bath houses, lakes, good restaurants, Oaklawn track and casino, Garvan Gardens, hiking, bike trails, and more.

Honestly it's become me and my wifes favorite retreat.. beautiful scenery, plenty to do for a long weekend, and easily and enjoyably walkable main strip... it really is just wonderful

How about Eureka Springs?

I was married there 10 years ago and went back in spring of 2023.

Parts of North Georgia not in Atlanta. I feel like everyone associates Atlanta with North Georgia but there's a lot more to it.

Under rated as far as what? To visit for a couple days? Start a new life? Just move?
