Late in life (once my vision strayed from 20/20), I learned that looking through a small hole in paper or using your fingers can correct your eyesight well enough to read. I use this all of the time using my thumb and index finger to make a hole to read my Apple Watch if I'm working out without glasses or even to find which hotel-supplied bottle is the shampoo.

You older bastards should have something useful to share, so here's your chance.

I learned that from Wilson on Home Improvement.

Flammable and Inflammable mean the same thing.

I don't know if that's useful, but I definitely didn't know this. And it doesn't even make sense how that could be true.

When renting a car and stopping for gas, look at the image of the gas pump and the arrow will tell you what side of the car the tank is on

You are exploiting the pin-hole effect. The reduction in aperture increases the depth of field meaning more things are in focus. This is the exact same thing that happens in say a manual SLR camera where higher F-stops have a higher depth of field.

On the camera lens below the bottom ring of numbers is the F-stop and between those two numbers you look to the next ring of numbers and it tells you what distances will be in focus. So on this lens, if your F-stop is 8 everything from ~9ft to infinity will be in focus.

What is the difference in flammable and inflammable?
If something is flammable it means it can be set fire to, such as a piece of wood. However, inflammable means that a substance is capabble of bursting into flames without the need for any ignition.

In this day and age?
Plumbing, sewing, electrical work, computer networking.

Helpful - when backing a truck, turn the wheel the direction you want the back of the truck to go.
When backing a trailer, turn the wheel the opposite direction you want it to go. Super easy to remember.
Just a simple linkage. So, you can extend it to a trailer behind a trailer, it would be back to turn where to go.
(Assuming hand starts at 12 o'clock position on the wheel).

You should wait to drink coffee in the morning. The reason it makes you feel better and also causes a crash is because it acts as a cortisol inhibitor. Give it around 45min to an hour in the morning, and your body will absorb all the cortisol. Then, coffee will have the caffeine effect you are looking for to boost your day.

I just recently learned that you can die trying to pull a truck out of the mud if the tow hitch flies through the windshield and hits you in the head.

Per Google (and check out the "similar" sections):

Hence the problem. And why inflammable is being phased out.

Something with the orgin of the word. Some Latin dude somewhere I suspect.

When people say righty tighty, lefty loosey, this does not pertain to sex. It took me several reps to figure this out. Thank me later.

If you do your 1 - 12 multiplication tables in your head, it’s easier to pee and continue peeing as you continue to multiply.

Experiment and you will find a starting number series that works better for you than others.
