Can we get a few community organizers to setup “marches” for Ms. Zarutska, and get a few artists to paint murals memorializing her in cities all across America?

Most of these type videos don't bother me but this one makes me very uneasy feeling. I think because she is basically the size of a child and looks so helpless after she gets stabbed. She is in complete shock that someone did that to her as she looks at him before she dies. Awful and pisses me off so bad.

Are we the only nation that lets its mentally ill people wander around in public? Why don’t enough people see the danger?

This guy thinks carrying pepper spray is “playing Rambo.” I believe you give him too much credit.
first off, you don’t know anything about me and you would never say any of this to my face, whether you were carrying or not.
Secondly, you’re still dodging my questions. And the fact that you can’t make your case without resorting to insults makes me seriously question your credibility as a doctor. Maybe you’re just lazy.

I think he still is, but has had his judgement clouded by activist government.
My judgment isn’t clouded. And certainly not by government. My motivation is simple: I’m a father of two young children and a happily married man. We live in a safe, beautiful gated community north of Houston, because my first responsibility is to protect and provide for my family. That can’t be done a hundred miles from civilization and for most people, it simply isn’t realistic. That’s the reality.
I believe, and I know many agree, that there should be a society where families can visit their local park, ride a bus, go to a ballgame, or spend a day at the museum downtown. Without needing to hire security or carry a weapon. That expectation of basic safety has always been part of what we pay for as taxpayers. It’s not an unreasonable demand; it’s the foundation of a functioning society.
And to be clear, I fully support your Second Amendment rights…and mine. I’ve had my License to Carry in Texas for over a decade, and my wife also carries. She even keeps pepper spray in her vehicle. So this isn’t about opposing responsible self-defense; it’s about wanting a society where families don’t have to rely on it just to feel safe doing everyday things.
What I’m suggesting is more realistic than saying every man, woman, and teenager should be armed at all times. Violent criminals should be locked away, no exceptions. I don’t care how many prisons we need to build. Lenient judges who release violent felons should lose their bar admission if that offender commits another crime. We also need to stop letting in millions of immigrants who don’t share our values or understand/care about our laws, while leaching off of us. Good Samaritan laws should be strengthened, and as a society we should be celebrating people like Daniel Penny who step up when others are in danger. That’s how we actually move toward safer communities; not just by telling everyone to carry everywhere.
That’s my final 2 cents on this debate between you and Roger, as neither of you have provided anything to debate.
If normal, tax-paying citizens don’t eventually draw a line in the sand; and instead keep retreating, then the people destroying this country will take it all, leaving nothing for our children and grandchildren. That’s why stories like the innocent Ukrainian girl brutally murdered on public transportation matter. They’re warnings of what happens when we keep looking the other way or puffing our chest out to brag about our gun collections.

But not enough and that's the issue. We'll all move on in a week and our system will continue letting murderous animals attack and kill our families.

Another factor in the death of Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte's light rail--the left-wing MacArthur Foundation giving Mecklenburg county a $3.3 million grant to reduce the jail population. Specifically as part of "racial equity aims.
Like Soros' Open Society, the MacArthur Foundation incentivizes local municipalities to make residents less safe by leaving threats like Decarlos Brown on the streets.

This. If people had jumped to her aid immediately she might have been saved, like Clint Malarchuk when his throat was slit by a skate.

I believe the Buffalo Sabres trainer was a war veteran. His training allowed him to stick fingers inside the wound in his neck to pinch the artery allowing him to live.
I don’t think these random folks on public transit would know to do that.

I'll reiterate... The comments in that thread are hilarious though. A bunch of memes and hell yeahs, but that's all it'll be. No one is fighting, no one truly cares beyond shitposting.

And as far as the news cycle, as tragic as this is, they like the eye off the ball of shite job numbers, red carpet for a murderous dictator, minimum security prison for a woman that screwed kids and no Epstein files.

There it is. We should focus on made up left wing talking points and not the reality of the violent, out of control country we live in, and those perpetuating that violence. Great idea.
