Going to UCLA game and want to take my wife out to dinner for her birthday. Know nothing about LA. Looking for recommendations.

We are dining at 71Above on Thursday. The view is amazing at the top of the US Bank tower. THe food is not necessarily my style but looks good. I could probably find 20 other places with a menu I would rather, but this is more for the experience.
We are dining at Mastro's Ocean Club on Friday in Malibu. Right on the beach.
There are many other places in Malibu that are nice and overlook the ocean and beach.
I always wanted to go to Lawry's, but we will not have time.
I did not research any other downtown restaurants.
Get your reservations ASAP, as the good places are popular and are booked out far in advance.

Im in gulfport mississippi. It feels like a ghost town, business shut down, no pretty women anywhere to be found.

For anybody staying near downtown, if you’re there on a weekday go to the Grand Central Market and get lunch. My favorite is a taco place there.
The Angel Flight trolley is behind it.
