This can't be normal. I'm 18 months into this crap and I'm having my 4th receiver sent to me. Went out with 10 minutes left in the LSU game and never reset.

Something might be shorting them out. Bad wiring?

Whole house was rewired 20 months ago. And issue exists with multiple receivers in multiple rooms.

Had Cox before this and had maybe one receiver replaced in 6 years.

Dude, it's typical for U-Verse.

Major PITA. They'll ship me a refurb. That one will break in 2 months. They'll send a tech out to "diagnose". Signal will be fine. He replaces all the equipment and 6 months later they're mailing me something else.

It'll be 4 days before that receiver gets here.

I had uverse for 4 years with only one box needing to be replaced after the shitty wiring in my apt got a little zapped and the box stopped working.

I've fought off any price increase with this shitty service. But I'd really just like it to be reliable.

I've had the same exact issue with several of my boxes. They suck. I've had more issues with U-verse than any other company

Both. And I've had 2 wireless boxes die, 3 wired boxes fail, and one modem.

Time to go back to Cox.

Yep, Cox is a shitty company and may cost a little more, but the service is dependable.

Ive had U Verse since the day before SEC Network kicked off and never had one equipment issue. That includes two boxes outside.

Not that this will help you right now, but the Hopper 3 from Dish is the best piece of technology in the TV industry.

Call att and they will switch you to DIRECTV for free and get you out on contract. They have some smoking deals right now too

They finally sent me the Cisco box (instead of the Motorola one), and it is better but I still have to reboot the damned think weekly. I don't think they are programmed to clear the cache or something. Really frustrating.

have changed one router/modem in 4 years to upgrade.

ETA: also had to change out one DVR/receiver due to cat vomiting into the top of it.
