This is why i support for a woman’s right to choose. She wasn’t ready for a child. It does not excuse what she did to the child. She should not have even gotten to that point

Thread title and OP updated to reflect that the woman was a member of the stunt team at the University of Kentucky rather than being a normal cheerleader.

Maybe she - an adult - should take the proper precautions in order to not have that choice to make. Especially if she's not ready for a child
There's foolproof ways that guarantee you never have to worry about this situation available

Easy for you to say. My sister used to take birth control but it came with side effects. It may actually stop a woman from conceiving in the future when she’s is ready

Well.....this story was definitely the talk around town today here in Lexington. 6pm news said the coroner issues a preliminary autopsy report today basically saying they're still uncertain about cause of death as well as when....so no real update basically.

She exercised her right. No different than if she killed the baby 6 weeks or 6 months after conception except some people are grossed out when they find the baby in a closet instead of a trash can.

Pregnancies have many ways to be prevented if you don't want to be pregnant.

If she had gone to Planned Parenthood and let them murder her child instead, she’d be golden.

I don't think I've seen this question in the thread and would be interested to know...
Who informed the police that she had a baby wrapped in a blanket in her closet?

I haven;t seen it from a "reputable" source but I have seen it on X that it was a roommate searching for the source of a smell who called it in. Large salt grain...

Welp, that's gonna be some serious therapy for life.

There’s a lot to this story that hasn’t been revealed.
I have a feeling she may be in real trouble.
Best case scenario she a sick, screwed up cheerleader. Worst case is she’s a monster that’ll never be out of prison. Or worse.

Former da today was talking about a similar situation where the state went after the death penalty.

Was she further along than the alleged 18 weeks? If a baby comes out at 18 weeks, it's much more likely to be a miscarriage than a murder.

All the justification and medical reasoning in the world won’t explain this woman taking her baby, wrapping it with a towel, then putting it in a fricking garbage bag in her own closet
I had a miscarriage in 2001. (12-14wks, I've kinda blocked it out)
I miscarried at home. Married, 18yrs old.
It took days to figure out what to do... it wasn't enough to have a "funeral", couldn't dream of "flushing" what I passed, it was intact and though small, very human.
The baby was wanted. We were devastated. I ended up keeping him, wrapped in a cloth, for a couple/few/maybe four days before my husband buried him on our property.
Not the same as a 20wk+ miscarriage... but I can definitely understand how, perhaps, a young woman has a miscarriage and doesn't know what to do. I was absolutely frozen in grief, myself.

Coroner was inconclusive on the cause of death, so likely only the existing charges, and I doubt she even gets jail time
I HOPE she did what she did from grief/shock, and not any other reason.

I know a girl who did something similar but drove around with the poor dead infant in her car.

Look we can jerk each other off with the miscarriage theory all we want.
The baby was hidden in a closet for 2 days. 2.
She has pics with a white boyfriend while pregnant.
The baby wasn’t the corporate color when it came out.
End of story. End of 2 lives.

I’ll ask again. What makes you so sure of this?

God Bless you and your husband. I can’t imagine how difficult that must’ve been.
