You can't track a dog with a microchip, it is for ID.

I was thinking how much my heart sinks when one of my dogs has "gone on vacation" for an hour or so, I can not fathom what it would be like if it was children.

Is the microchip also a GPS tracker? Cause the only microchips I’m familiar with require a scanner to be read by someone standing right over the animal. It’s not like the microchip has a transponder to report a
Location.

Unless it does.

That has to be a terrible feeling for the parents. I couldn't imagine that.

Yup, I know more people just got a call

Helicopter should be good to go.

Walked out in the woods maybe and got lost? Folsom is pretty rural. Not sure about this particular area.

Those girls must be terrified out there in the dark. You would think a helicopter with thermal would have spotted them if they didn’t go too far. So scary.

That’s awful. Praying for them. How’s the weather down there tonight? At least not too cold I think.

Weather isn’t too bad but it’s cool. Rain coming in the morning so hopefully they find them tonight

I live about where they are missing. Helicopters flying now. There are woods here but not a ton where they could easily get lost for hours with so many looking for them. I’m praying they are in the woods and no foul play involved.

Hopefully the dog chased something into the woods and the girls got turned around trying to retrieve him or something like that. Makes my heart sink, hoping for a happy outcome.
