I was almost the victim of a crime like this in Bloomington-Normal, was walking to my car after a night class and a car full of black teens rolls past me and says, “we was gonna jump you, but the lady (whatever girl was with them) said no” and they laughed hysterically. Always wonder what would have happened if they did that, it was on campus with a huge police presence too.

A “black” guy tells a fabricated story about being attacked by white guys resulting in superficial injuries. National headline for weeks, even months.
Two white mean are beat unconscious in what was obviously a racially motivated attack. The attack, along with the celebration by bystanders, was videoed. Nothing.

This happened in River North, one of the nicest / most affluent neighborhoods in Chicago, usually full of tourists. If this area can’t be kept safe, nowhere in Chicago can.
