Is this to prevent people from bringing in new specimens? I feel like you should be allowed to hunt and kill as many wild ones as you’d like.

Until their government swooped in and made their livelihood illegal, later backing off a little and just highly regulating the entire industry. I bet those regs include hefty fees and taxes for “restoring the wetlands”. Translated, that means making people other than the ones doing the work rich. “
