I guess I’ll join the party.
It was wrong what they did. Making a video regarding racial stereotypes about black people morally isn’t funny. However, their video did not incite violence towards black people. It didn’t incite others to make racist statements towards other. So it’s a first amendment issue.
Obviously, the school board did what any school board would do. They saved face and got rid of the negative publicity. I wouldn’t be surprised if the teens lawyered up and sued the school. Whether anyone likes it or not, they have the freedom to say what they want.
There’s a reason why the Klan can still get a permit to hold a rally somewhere. Reason why people can put propaganda on people’s doors or hand out flyers. 4 years ago, a local chapter of the White Knights left recruitment papers down my street. You can hate it, but they have the legal ability to do it.
I think with the schools being out to the virus, they’re not going to finish the year at the school, so let em graduate and move on. If school was in, I could’ve seen home school it out. It’s a messed up situation and hope they learn from it.

I couldn't let this slide. How is that people still do not know this. Black people, just call us black people. Or if you are country, black folk work just as well.
No, we do not like being referred to as "blacks", "a black", or "the blacks". Damn sure never call a black person blackie, that is asking for trouble. It may not be racist per se, but it sure does toe the line manytimes and lets me know I cant take said person serious.
