I wish they hadn't been expelled. This wasn't performed or directed at their school. I can understand how their school can and have done this. They created a massive disruption for the school. If in-person classes were still going it would be even worse. Still think expulsion is a step too far for an institution that is tangently involved at best.
Other than that, I would say they are reaping what they have sown.
